Truck Wrecks
An accident involving a truck is very different from an ordinary auto accident. Sadly, if a truck is involved, the injuries to the people in the other vehicle are much more likely to be severe. Trucking is a regulated industry and there are special laws which apply to trucks. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) issues regulations which apply to truckers and trucking companies. These regulations are very detailed and govern qualifications of drivers, inspection, repair and maintenance, controlled substances, alcohol testing, driver hours and a host of other matters. Violations of these regulations are a serious matter for the truck company, but may not be obvious to the victim. Many trucking companies are sophisticated with satellite tracking of their trucks. Sometimes, trucking company investigators arrive at the scene while the police are still present. If you are injured in an accident involving a truck I would suggest you consult an attorney immediately. If I take your case, I will use my skills and experience to see that your case is properly investigated and prepared, and will fight hard to see that you and your family are fairly compensated.
